The design of the Creative Industries Precinct for the Coomera TAFE on the Gold Coast involved taking the building outline from the brief and re-planning all the internal spaces in close association with the Steering Committee.

The technical documentation of the 5 storey building covered specialist internal areas such as libraries, theatres, rehearsal rooms and recording studios. The design of the elevations, sculptural building form and external spaces predominantly occurred while the contractor was on site, working to a tight D&C delivery program. A contemporary and low maintenance palette of commercial materials enabled the building to be brought in on budget without sacrificing the architectural qualities of the
building.
