Childers Police Station

This six officer station, complete with its own holding cell, not only delivers the Queensland Police requirements for a growing rural centre, but also provides a public building designed in a regional context with the use of local timber roof framing, metal wall sheeting and red-coloured concrete pavement.

Working as a direct consultant with the Queensland Police Service, JA Architecture was instrumental in the upgrade and extension of many Queensland Police facilities, which include regional stations at Eumundi, Pomona, Fraser Island, and larger ones such as the Coomera District Police Headquarters.
