Wynnum State School
Having completed the masterplan for the first stage of this project with DET, JA Architects were requested to join the St Hilliers team to tender on the second stage D&C tender, for which we were successful. An option in the tender response included a scheme which removed the existing Wynnum State High School buildings on the site, turning the proposal from a refurbishment into a new build.
The revised masterplan embodies the school’s previous configuration, with structures placed on the high ground benefiting from the available views, breezes off Moreton Bay and maximising passive solar design principles.
