ELEMENT:

Element draws inspiration from naturally occurring
materials, colours and forms. Intentionally striking
and contemporary in appearance, this building
responds to the brief by skilfully marrying these
elements with innovative use of building materials
and techniques.

The material and colour palette celebrates bronze,
copper, zinc, aluminium, nickel, tin and iron,
while referencing precious metals such as gold
and titanium. These are in turn combined with
readily available prefinished and prefabricated
sheet materials in metallic colours, powder coated
and perforated metals, tinted glazing and precast
concrete cladding. These materials are balanced
by the warmth and texture of timber in its natural
and manufactured forms and the durability and
functionality of natural stone surfaces.

The external composition draws reference from the
natural environment through its use of crystalline
forms, developing a language and material palette
that envelopes the façade. The design forms
extend from the ground plane through the podium
levels, continuing up into the residential tower.
They filter into the internal spaces commencing
at the main entry, retail spaces and lift lobby, the
apartments and residential lobbies and the roof
top recreation space.
