GP Super Clinic
Ochre Health commissioned JA Architects to design their showcase GP Super Clinic proposed for the Sunshine Coast region. The prominent site on the corner of Power Road and Sippy Downs drive is an ideal central locality with strong connections to the University of the Sunshine Coast and new Sunshine Coast Hospital precinct.
The building responds to the context by providing a strong presence to the main road that will encourage interaction between the general public, the local student population and the new facility. Patient wellbeing is central to the design outcome with a logical plan and easily identifiable transitions between the clinical uses and public areas. Generous volumes of internal space and natural light are provided within the main waiting area which acts as the central hub for all of the internal activities.
